Tim Hannig is a mechanical engineer with over 20 years of experience across the automotive, hydrogen fuel cell, and material handling industries. Before founding HYTING in 2021, he held senior leadership roles in Europe, the United States, and China.
He began his career in 2003 developing forklift and warehouse vehicles, including early stage hydrogen power trucks. Later, he served in senior R&D positions, including China and the USA. In 2015, Tim transitioned to the automotive sector, where he held leadership roles at Jaguar Land Rover — establishing and growing the Classic Division — and then at Bentley Motors.
In 2021, Tim founded HYTING, where he serves as CEO. HYTING is dedicated to developing next-generation, zero-emission heat solutions based on catalytic hydrogen technology. The company’s systems offer a simple, safe, efficient and clean alternative to conventional heating, supporting industrial and building decarbonization with high reliability and flexibility.
Since 2022, Tim has also served as a non-executive director of Fuel Cell Technology Sweden AB, focusing on the development of micro hydrogen fuel cells.
